Instructions For Using An ADHD Medication Cost Savings Card
Here are some tips to avoid paying too much for your prescription.

At your appointment:
Make sure you are given a cost savings card or instructions on how to get one
Some brand name ADHD medications come with a cost savings card to help offset the cost of medications without a generic alternative.
If you didn't get a cost savings card, please talk to your provider or call our office.

At the pharmacy:
Please tell the pharmacy about your cost savings card. Ask them to run the cost savings card before trying your insurance card.
If the pharmacy is having trouble, there is a help number on the back of the card.

If the medication is affordable:
Amazing work! We hope this medication works for your child.
Keep in mind that the first time you fill the medication it is often less expensive or even free. The next time you fill the same prescription, the price will be a bit more, but hopefully still affordable.

If the medication is too expensive:
The pharmacy will try to submit a prior authorization to our office, but our office will not process the prior authorization as they are usually denied.
Reach out to your insurance company and ask for a list of generic ADHD medications covered by your plan.
Contact a triage nurse at our office or make an appointment with your provider to review the list
Your provider can then select a covered medication that will work best for your child.
