About Alpine Pediatrics
Alpine Pediatrics was founded in 1997 by Dr. David Johnson with a simple goal: keep kids Healthy + Happy by providing the highest quality pediatric care in Utah County. We’ve never wavered from that.
What began as a small office in American Fork quickly grew as more families discovered the kind of care they were looking for—thoughtful, experienced providers who truly enjoy working with children and families. As the community grew, Alpine Pediatrics built a new office in Pleasant Grove and later expanded to additional locations in Saratoga Springs, East Lehi, Orem/Vineyard and West Lehi to better serve families across Utah County.
From the beginning, Alpine Pediatrics has focused on building an exceptional team. Our providers come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of experience, personalities, and interests. This allows families to find a pediatrician who is not only highly trained, but also a great fit for their child and family.
Today, Alpine Pediatrics continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern families. In 2019, we began offering integrated Behavioral Health services, adding psychologists and therapists directly into our care team. This allows us to support not only children's physical health, but also their emotional and mental well-being. Through our Collaborative Care program, pediatricians work alongside behavioral health specialists and psychiatric consultants to provide coordinated, whole-child care.
We also offer additional services designed to support families through every stage of childhood. Our team includes lactation specialists who help new mothers and babies get off to a strong start, as well as lifestyle and weight-management counseling for children who may benefit from extra support in building healthy habits. Many common childhood injuries—such as bruises, cuts, and certain types of fractures—can also be evaluated and treated right in our offices, helping families avoid unnecessary trips to urgent care or the emergency room.
To make care more accessible and convenient, Alpine Pediatrics offers telehealth visits when appropriate, along with evening and weekend hours for families whose schedules make daytime appointments difficult.
Our pediatricians also care for newborns across Utah County, making rounds in five hospitals: American Fork Hospital, CommonSpirit Mountain Point Medical Center, Timpanogos Regional Hospital, Orem Community Hospital, and Utah Valley Hospital. We are with you from the start.
More than 25 years after opening our doors, Alpine Pediatrics remains committed to the same mission that started it all: Healthy + Happy children and supported families every step of the way.
