Behavioral Health Therapy

The Alpine Pediatrics Behavioral Health Team primary focus for psychotherapy is children, adolescents, and their families. Our clinicians utilize a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach in practice. This approach focuses on thoughts, behaviors, and emotions as mechanisms of change for individuals. Some of the most common problems that the behavioral health team see in practice include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavior disorders, family-related problems, and school-related problems. The Alpine Pediatrics Behavioral Team works in coordination with parents as well children on these issues including effective behavior modification techniques for children and teens.

If you have specific questions or concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to contact us regarding your child’s needs. We will determine whether intervention is needed for your child, and if so, what type of treatment would be most beneficial. The clinician you and your child work with will identify treatment goals as well as determine the most effective treatment plan for your child. Parents are involved throughout their child’s treatment. Further, all care is coordinated with your child’s primary care provider as part of their treatment plan.
